County halts puppy kills for all but pit bulls

TOLEDO, OHIO -- Puppies at the Lucas County Pound have been granted another reprieve.  Lucas County Commissioners have voted to extend a moratorium on kills of dogs up to the age of 3 months at the pound.

The extension will run until March 1, 2010.

Commissioners voted against extending the moratorium for putting down pit bull puppies.
