TOLEDO -- It’s a story you saw first here on NBC 24.  

On Wednesday, NBC's Today Show interviewed the Michigan couple whose embryo was implanted into a Sylvania woman by mistake.

Carolyn and Sean Savage found out the fertility clinic mistakenly implanted the embryos of another couple, Shannon and Paul Morell of Troy, Mich.

Due to their religious beliefs, the Savages did not terminate the pregnancy.

Carolyn Savage is due to deliver the baby, by Caesarean section, within the next two weeks.  The newborn will immediately be handed over to the biological parents.
