WAUSEON -- Police are a little closer to solving a cold case after the arrest of a former Maumee man in the 1985 murder of a Swanton woman.

The Fulton County Prosecutor's Office says they have charged Walter E. Zimbeck, 42, with the October 1985 murder of Lori Ann Hill, 14.

Zimbeck, formerly of Maumee, was taken into custody by authorities at his home in Strawberry Plains, Tennessee.   Sevier County Tennesse Sheriff's Department officials arrested Zimbeck Monday, July 20.  He has been charged with aggravated murder and murder.

The arrest and charges come after an eight-month investigation by the Toledo Police Department's Cold Case Unit and the Fulton County Sheriff's Department.

Lori Ann Hill went missing in October 25, 1985.  She was last seen at Mr. G's Pizza in Swanton.  Her nude body was found four days later in a wooded-area off County Road M in Pike Township, nearly 15 miles from where she was last seen.  She had a gun shot wound to the head.
