COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - The Ohio Elections Commission has found former Attorney General Marc Dann guilty of violating state election law for using campaign funds to pay for personal cell phone use and a security system for his home.

In a split decision, the 7-member panel also found the Dann for Ohio committee guilty in both instances. Dann's deputy campaign treasurer Mary Beth Snyder was found in violation only for the security system purchase.

The panel issued public reprimands against Dann for the cell phone violation and gave him a maximum fine of $1,000 for the security system violation.

It declined to send either violation to the county prosecutor.

A second complaint against Dann is still pending.

The Democrat from Youngstown, resigned in May amid a sexual harassment scandal in his office.
