Lucas County Ballot Issues 2012 

Issue 1 – CITY OF TOLEDO ¾% CONTINUED INCOME TAX
A Majority Affirmative Vote Is Necessary For Passage. Shall Ordinance No. 559-11, providing for the continuation of a two and one-quarter percent (2 ¼%) levy on income, of which three-quarters percent (¾%) is a continued tax, to be in effect during the period commencing January 1, 2013 and ending December 31, 2016, to be allocated one-third (⅓) to the General Fund for police, fire and other Safety Department responsibilities, one-third (⅓) to the General Fund, and one-third (⅓) to the Capital Improvements Fund, and of which one and one-half percent (1½%) continues to be in effect for a continuing period of time to be allocated as at present; and, to provide authority for the City Council, upon request by the Mayor, to reallocate proceeds for the City’s current threequarter percent (¾%) temporary income tax from the Capital Improvement Fund to the General Fund to address financial needs, be passed?

Issue 3 - EVERGREEN LSD PROPOSED INCOME TAX LEVY
A majority affirmative vote is necessary for passage. Shall an annual income tax of one-half of one percent (0.5%) on the school district income of individuals and of estates be imposed by Evergreen Local School District for a period of five years, beginning January 1, 2013, for the purpose of current expenses of the school district?

Issue 4 - FOUR COUNTY JOINT VOCATIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT ADDITIONAL TAX
A majority affirmative vote is necessary for passage. An additional tax for the benefit of the Four County Joint Vocational School District for the purpose of general permanent improvements at a rate not exceeding 0.2 mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.02 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a continuing period of time, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.

Issue 5 - SWANTON LSD RENEWAL LEVY
A majority affirmative vote is necessary for passage. Shall a levy renewing an existing levy be imposed by the Swanton Local School District for the purpose of providing for the emergency requirements of the school district in the sum of $825,000 and a levy of taxes to be made outside of the ten-mill limitation estimated by the Fulton County Auditor to average 4.22 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.422 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013?

Issue 6- SRPINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, PRECINCT 1 LOCAL OPTION WALMART
A Majority Affirmative Vote Is Necessary For Passage. Shall the sale of wine and mixed beverages be permitted for sale on Sunday between the hours of ten a.m. and midnight by Wal Mart Stores East LP dba Wal Mart Supercenter 3445, a holder of a D-6 liquor permit, who is engaged in the business of operating a neighborhood store at 1355 S. McCord Rd., Springfield Twp. Holland, OH 43528 in this precinct?
