Dr. Kenneth W. Borland Jr.
Dr. Kenneth W. Borland Jr., has been named Bowling Green State University’s senior vice president for academic affairs and provost.
Borland holds the rank of professor in the areas of leadership and interdisciplinary studies.
He holds a doctoral degree in adult and higher education from The Pennsylvania State University, a master’s degree in education and religion from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a bachelor’s degree in theology from Toccoa Falls College.
“This is a critical leadership role for the University,” President Carol Cartwright said. "Ken will work closely with me to build on BGSU’s reputation and help us achieve even higher levels of academic excellence and student success.”
As provost, Borland will be responsible for all academic programs at the University, including oversight of BGSU’s colleges, enrollment and research.
“BGSU is a great fit,” Borland said. “I’m looking forward to helping students succeed and supporting our faculty in their research.”
