Saturday - a great day to bring down those outdoor Christmas lights

A taste of spring sticks around through the first half of your upcoming weekend with near record highs in the 50's and 60's.  The January thaw will be short lived - so make the most of it while you can!

Rain showers taper off as we head into this afternoon.  We may even see some limited amounts of sunshine as highs climb into the mid 50's this afternoon.

Overnight we will be partly cloudy and mild with lows in the mid 40's.  Remember our seasonal lows are in the upper teens and highs in the lower 30's - so this is a fairly incredible January Thaw.

Saturday will be very unusual... with partly cloudy skies highs will get into the lower 60's (the record for 1/12 is 64 degrees and that was set in the late 1800's).  Have all the fun you can outdoors - even if it's bringing down those outdoor Christmas lights as winter weather returns by Monday.

The second half of your weekend offers more soaking rains, some wind and much cooler temps.  We likely won't see highs get far out of the 30's Sunday morning - before the mercury falls during the afternoon.  If we do see moisture stick around til late in the day it is likely we will see the rains change over to a light wintery mix before we dry things out Sunday night.

Next week offers hit and miss chances of light snow as highs actually go the other side of normal.  Monday through Friday high temps don't get much above 30 degrees.

So break out the T's and the shorts for part of the weekend and make it a great one as we likely won't be seeing this again until spring actually arrives.
