The newest addition to the Toledo zoo is ready for public viewing. Tuli is the new baby giraffe was born last month and now zoo goers can see her and her mother Elvira in the Africa exhibit.

She endured a 15 month pregnancy and as of Saturday, July 23, the Toledo Zoo's seven year old giraffe Elvira is a proud mother of a newborn calf.

The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden is celebrating its first giraffe birth in nearly 26 years. Tessa, a 4-year-old Maasai giraffe, gave birth to her first calf Saturday morning in her indoor stall.
