TOLEDO -- Ohio Governor John Kasich has signed a bill into law that removes pit bulls from the state's definition of a vicious dog.

The new law goes into effect in 90 days.

This ends Ohio's 25-year-old law that automatically declared pit bulls as vicious.

Under the new law, dogs of all breeds, including pit bulls will still be considered vicious if they, without provocation, have killed or caused serious injury to a person.

Until now, ohio was the only state -- with a breed specific law.
