A press release from the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, issued Tuesday evening, reported that authorities were dispatched to a Ft. Jennings home after a 911 caller reported a 4-year-old boy "had fallen into a pool."

The victim, whose name was not given in the press release, was then taken from a residence in the 21000 Block of Road T to St. Rita's Medical Center.

The person that called 911 told authorities that CPR was being done at the scene.

According to limaohio.com, the victim was transported to Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus.

At this time it is still unclear if the child died from his injuries.
