Sobriety checkpoint planned for St. Patrick’s Day weekend

HOLLAND -- On Saturday, March 16, the Lucas County OVI Task Force will conduct a sobriety checkpoint in the Village of Holland.

The checkpoint will be located on South McCord Road. Both northbound and southbound traffic will be checked. The checkpoint will run from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. and manned by the Lucas County Sheriff's Office, Holland Police, Whitehouse Police, Toledo Metro parks Rangers, University of Toledo Police, Swanton Police, and Oregon Police--all officers from Task Force agencies. 

This checkpoint will be fully funded through a grant from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
