PORT CLINTON -- There has been an attack on two people in Ottawa County by a pit bull.

Last night, shortly after 9 p.m., Ottawa County Sheriff's Deputies responded to Island Safe Harbor on East State Road in Port Clinton. Upon arrival, deputies say they found 2 people injured after a pit bull attack.  Because the dog would not allow officers to get to one of the injured, officers were forced to attempt to dispatch the animal with a firearm.  The dog was injured and later euthanized.

Officials say the two injured subjects were treated for their injuries.
