The end of unemployment benefits presents bad news for certain people.

About 55,000 people across the state of Ohio considered long term unemployed will lose benefits because of the end of a federally funded aid put in place several years ago.

The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services says 134,000 people receive unemployment benefits. Federal benefits are set to end December 29th.
