MONROE COUNTY, MICH. -- UPDATE, 12:20 p.m.: Youth football bus hits crashed tanker on I-75 

 

UPDATE, 6 a.m.: All lanes have reopened following a multi-vehicle crash near mile marker 24 in Monroe County, according to Monroe County Sheriff's Office. 

Our reporter at the scene said a tanker truck overturned after colliding with a charter bus. No word yet on injuries.

 

ORIGINAL REPORT: Michigan State Police tell us that I-75 is closed in both directions due to a multi-vehicle crash.

The accident is at mile marker 24, which is between the Newport exit (exit 21) and South Huron Drive exit (exit 26). Northbound detour is I-275 and southbound detour is Telegraph.

We have a crew on the way and will update when more information is available.
