Toledo Express receives grant for runway upgrades

SWANTON -- The Toledo Express Airport will be getting a runway makeover.

The Federal Aviation Administration has awarded a $5.7 million grant to the Toledo Lucas County Port Authority.

The money will be used to rehabilitate the airport's runway.

In announcing the grant, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur said the airport continues to play a key role in regional economic developmental strategy.
