A standoff in West Toledo Wednesday afternoon ended peacefully after a man surrendered to police.
It happened in the 900 block of Keil Road just before 4 p.m. Police say the man barricaded himself inside the home and then threatened to kill himself. At least four other people including the man’s wife and kids were in the house. He let them leave the home during the standoff.
After two hours, Toledo police negotiators were able to convince the man to put his gun down and he was taken into custody without incident.
His name has not yet been released.
