Residents in Northwest Ohio may be hearing and seeing some F-16 fighter jets taking off and landing at night this week while the 180th Fighter Wing of the Ohio National Guard conducts training flights.

The flights are normally done during daylight hours but F-16 pilots and maintenance personnel are required to conduct night operations as part of their overall readiness.

The training flights will begin at night starting Monday, May 7th and running through Thursday, May 10th.

The 180th Fighter Wing says they appreciate all the support they have from Northwest Ohio citizens.
