Bowling Green Police are investigating the death of a 20-year woman found in an apartment at 602 Second St. near BGSU on Thursday.
The address is on off campus apartment where, just before 7 p.m., the body of Kayleigh R. Chambers of Delta was found.
According to the Bowling Green Sentinel-Dispatch, Chambers was a freshman at BGSU.
BG Police say they first received a request to check on Chambers' welfare at 4:35 p.m.
Authorities say the caller indicated Chambers had made threats to harm herself and may have access to a shotgun.
When officials arrived at the home they made several attempts to contact Chambers but got no response.
Bowling Green Police then closed off Manville avenue between Second and Third streets to secure the scene.
Just before 7:00 p.m., authorities entered the home and found Chambers body.
Officials have not released a cause of death but say that Chambers lived alone.
All streets in the area were re-opened by 7:30 p.m.
