TOLEDO -- Several Toledo churches have organized a rally in memory of Trayvon Martin, the 17-year-old Floridian shot to death by a neighborhood watch captain February 26.  The incident has gained worldwide attention and there have been many protests and demonstrations in other US cities in recent days.  George Zimmerman, has admitted to shooting Martin but claims it was in self defense.  The Sanford, Florida police department accepted Zimerman's claim of self defense and has declined to arrest him.  This has sparked outrage from Martin's family and millions of people from around the country.

Reverend Cedric Brock of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church says the peaceful rally will give Toledoans the opportunity to vent their frustrations and concerns.  "For us it is an oppportunity to speak out against an injustice," Reverend Brock said.

The rally will start at 10 a.m. in the parking lot of the Toledo Public Schools complex located at 420 E. Manhattan Blvd.
