2-year-old boy hit and killed by 92-year-old driver

OREGON -- Authorities say 2-year-old Ethan Freck was killed on Tuesday night after being hit by a car outside his Oregon home.

A preliminary investigation, of the accident, found that 92-year-old James Ridley of Curtice was driving at the time of the accident.

Officials say around 6:45 p.m., Ridley was on the 5500 block of Pickle Road when Freck ran into the path of his vehicle.

Police say Freck mother did try to chase after her son but was unable to reach him before he got into the street.
