PERRYSBURG -- Perrysburg voters took a pass on TARTA in the polls Tuesday, meaning the city will no longer receive bus services.

The city complained for years that they were overcharged by the Toledo Regional Transit Authority and wanted to get rid of the contract.

Perrysburg has been a member of TARTA since 1974 and pays $1.5 million a year in property taxes. TARTA could stop services in the city within six months, but a date has not been officially decided.

The remaining city members of TARTA are Toledo, Sylvania, Sylvania Township, Rossford, Ottawa Hills, Maumee, Spencer Township, and Waterville.
