The snow has finally arrived and Side Cut Metropark was more than welcoming. Last Saturday, a "S'mores and More" event was put on by the Metropark combined with The Andersons.
The free event included an ice sculptor, hot chocolate, s'mores, and a giant sledding hill. The 80-foot-by-200-foot rink wasn't open because the ice wasn't strong enough for the park's liking.
Side Cut and Pearson Park are open until 9 p.m., Monday through Friday. Portable lighting will be provided from the Metroparks Members program.
