ADRIAN -- Adrian College has received another large gift.

The Lenawee County school says the $625,000 gift from the Sage Foundation will be used to help restore downs hall which was constructed in 1860 and was once used as a gathering place for Civil War volunteers.

The historic building houses the Adrian College musical theater department, an art gallery, a student theatre, offices and a conference room.,

Last month, the estate of a late Adrian College trustee gave the college $20 million.
