TOLEDO -- Toledo Police are investigating a pair of unrelated shootings, both in Toledo on Monday.

In the early morning hours, authorities were called to the Andover Apartments on Eastgate near Heatherdowns.

When they arrived they found an unidentified female victim suffering at least one gunshot wound to the lower part of her body.

Officials believe the woman was shot by her boyfriend, 23-year-old Rashad Chatmon.

As of Monday night, officers were still searching for Chatmon who they say fled the scene before police arrived.

According to Sgt. Joe Heffernan, a police department spokesman, the victim is expected to recover.

Hours later, 23-year-old Antonyo Jennings was wounded during an unrelated shooting in South Toledo.

Authorities say Jennings was wounded along the 500 Block of Dexter street around 1 p.m. Monday afternoon.

He was taken to Mercy St. Vincent's for treatment but is expected to survive his injuries.

Police confirm that Jennings is the second person to be shot in that area in the last week.

Anyone with information on either shooting is asked to call Crimestopper at 419-255-1111.
