WEST TOLEDO -- Toledo Police are in the preliminary stages of investigating the city's most recent homicide.
On Friday night, 911 dispatchers received a call from a resident on Parkdale Avenue who wanted to report a man's body was located on the sidewalk.
When officers arrived at the scene they found the victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound and transported him to the hospital.
The man would later die from his injuries.
Officials did have a person of interest in custody following the murder but could not say if that person was going to be charged in connection to the fatal shooting.
