EAST TOLEDO -- Toledo Police are investigating a double shooting in East Toledo that left on man dead Thursday night.

The homicide took place within days of another deadly shooting in North Toledo on Monday.

Authorities were called to the most recent crime scene, at the Ravine Park Village apartments along Poplar Street, just before 8 p.m.

The investigators found two male victims, one was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was taken to Saint V's for treatment.

Officials believe the men were the victims of a robbery and home invasion.

"Several suspects were here. The numbers varied depending on the witnesses that you talked to. Anywhere from 2 to 5, they were wearing dark clothes," Toledo Police Department Sergeant Bill Wauford said.

Wauford also confirmed that several witnesses reported the suspects were wearing masks.

TPD is still searching for 2 masked suspects involved in a similar crime earlier this week.

On Monday, 36-year-old Darnell Tall was killed and 29-year-old Zyra Braswell was shot in the leg during a double shooting in North Toledo.

Police are asking anyone with information, on either shooting, to call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111 with any tips.
