Check your freezers, Kroger issues an ice cream recall

TOLEDO -- Before you have a bowl of ice cream, you'd better listen up. Kroger is recalling ice cream sold in 10 states including Ohio and Michigan.

16 ounce pints of Private Selection Extreme Moose Tracks ice cream could contain peanuts not mentioned on the label.  That could prove lethal to anyone with a peanut allergy.

The recall involves pints with a sell by date of June 18, 2012.  And have the UPC Code 11110 52909.

The ice cream was sold at Kroger stores in Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, South Carolina and Tennessee.

Kroger Co. says shoppers should return the product to supermarkets for a refund or replacement.
