SOUTH TOLEDO -- Hundreds of union members converged on south Toledo Wednesday night to hear from teamsters’ national president "Jim" James P. Hoffa.

He is the only son of Jimmy Hoffa, who infamously disappeared on July 30th, 1975, from the parking lot of the Machus Red Fox Restaurant in Michigan.

James "Jim" Hoffa spoke at a “We are Ohio” rally at the teamsters Local 20 headquarters on South Hawley Street.

Hoffa and the other union members were there rallying against Senate Bill 5, legislation that opponents insist curbs the collective bargaining powers of Ohio’s public employee unions.

At the end of his speech, Hoffa singled-out Republican politicians as the driving force behind S.B. 5.

"My friends here in Ohio told me what Governor Kasich said when he took over. I understand that he said 'Get on the bus or I am going to run you over.' Well, Governor Kasich, we've got a big truck out there and we are going to run you over," Hoffa said.

Hoffa is no stranger to making controversial remarks at political events.

During a Labor Day event for President Obama, in Detroit,  he told the crowd they should " take these sons-of-a-bitches out and give America back to America where we belong".

According to Wikipedia, Hoffa was referring to the tea party.
