MORENCI, MICH. -- A vigil was held in Morenci on Sunday for three brothers missing since last November. It has been nearly eleven months since Andrew, Alexander and Tanner Skelton went missing on Thanksgiving Day last year. The boys were 9, 7 and 5 when they were last seen in the backyard of their father's home in Michigan.

The vigil took place at Wakefield Park and three trees were planted and dedicated, one in honor of each boy. Donald Zuvers, the boys' maternal grandfather said his family continues to be overwhelmed by the outpouring of of sympathy and compassion from people all over the world.

"It's just overwhelming the support that we have had from the community, the area around here, even the nation and over the world as my daughter has had someone from Germany posting things for us," Zuvers said.

John Skelton has maintained that he gave his boys to an organization and has steadfastly declined to name the organization or identify the boy's whereabouts. Earlier this year Skelton pled no contest to unlawful imprisonment and was sentenced to 10 to 15 years in prison. The Morenci police are treating the case as a homicide investigation.
