NEW YORK -- A Sylvania mother who gave birth to another woman's baby after a fertility clinic mix-up has announced she and her husband are expecting twins through a surrogate mother.

Carolyn Savage said Thursday on NBC's "Today" show that she and husband Sean "hit the jackpot" after repeated attempts to have more children with embryos they harvested.

The Savages say the babies are due in August. The couple, who have three children, found out about the pregnancy before Christmas.

"Today marks 19 weeks," the Savages wrote in a release Thursday. "Almost halfway! We don't know the genders of the babies yet, but you can see their ultrasound pictures here...and watch what we shared on the Today Show this morning."

Carolyn Savage had been implanted with the wrong embryo at the clinic and delivered a baby boy in September 2009. She gave the child to his biological parents, a couple in Utica, Mich.

Savage is unable to carry another baby herself partly because of difficulties during her earlier pregnancies.

In February, the couple shared their story with WNWO saying they hope their new book will help others persevere through the hardships they are faced with.  "We would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody in Toledo and in northwest Ohio," said Carolyn. "(It) felt like we were walking this road alone. When people found out the support was amazing."

The couple says the want to welcome the community into their lives due to their unwavering support over the past few years. They will be posting updates on their website for all to see.
