WOOD COUNTY -- Former Toledo radio personality Andrew Z will undergo alcohol dependency treatment after pleading guilty to charges related to the burglary of his former Perrysburg pizzeria.

In November, Andrew Zepeda was indicted by a Wood County Grand Jury on three different felony charges, including theft, failure to remit sales tax and complicity to commit breaking and entering.

More details related to these charges

Zepeda, former of host of Andrew Z in the Morning on 92.5 KISS-FM, has since maintained his innocence. In December, Zepeda's attorney, Beau Harvey, filed motions asking that his client be accepted for an intervention in lieu of conviction. The motion, which implies Zepeda made decisions under the influence of an alcohol addiction, was made rather than entering a plea.

In Wood County Common Pleas court on Friday, a judge granted Zepeda an intervention in lieu of a conviction in the case.  Zepeda then pleaded guilty to all felony charges against him.

Zepeda will undergo treatment for two years, but if he violates any conditions of his intervention, he will face the charges once again, according to the judge.  The charges will be wiped clean off his record if Zepeda completes the probation program.

The embattled radio host and his lawyer told the media they are pleased with the outcome of the case.

"I'm glad that all this is over," Zepeda said in a written statement. "look forward to getting my life back and getting back on the air in Toledo. Thanks to everyone who has supported me through this."
