Plane crashes into an Indiana home

SOUTH BEND, INDIANA -- UPDATE: Two people on board a small plane were killed when it crashed into homes in South Bend, Indiana on Sunday.

The private jet hit two homes and damaged a third.

The plane was carrying four people when it crashed. Among those injured, two are in fair condition and one is in serious condition

Original report: A plane crashes into three homes in northern Indiana, killing an "unknown" number of people.

A part of the plane was sticking out of a house in South Bend, Indiana. At least three people are being treated at a local hospital, it's not known if they or the people who died were on board the plane or on the ground when it hit. The pilot radioed for help before the crash, citing technical problems, and tried to land safely, but failed.
