Single digit windchills Thursday!
We smashed record high temps that stood for 133 years this morning! How's that for a headline? Yes - indeed remarkable, as we hit 63 degrees at 4am at Toledo Express, shattering the record of 58 set in 1880.
The High Wind Advisory has been cancelled. We will see a lull in the widespread rainfall by late morning and the rains will become more scattered and spotty through mid afternoon. Temps this afternoon will stabilize in the lower 50's. As we get into mid & late afternoon and extending into the early evening hours the rains will return, along with isolated t'storms. With the rain comes some blustery winds with gusts to 35 & 40 MPH. Temps will fall during the evening hours and we will see a cold front roar through. Behind the COLD front temps will plunge, winds will continue to howl and plunging temperatures will rush in, along with scattered flurries/snow showers - temps fall into the lower 20's overnight. WINDCHILLS WILL FALL OFF THE END OF THE TABLE WITH FEELS-LIKE TEMPS IN THE SINGLE DIGITS BY DAYBREAK. WILD!
Thursday offers periods of scattered snow showers with highs in the mid 20's and cooler windchills. Friday will be even colder with highs barely getting out of the teens in spite of some welcome rays of sunshine.
We aren't done there as a weak Alberta Clipper moves in Saturday and will likely deposit some widespread, light accumulating snow. High temps will be in the mid 20's Saturday afternoon. Sunday will be the pick of the weekend with highs near 30.
Winter isn't back yet - but it's on the way... get ready to bundle up!
