Gamblers have the option of banning themselves from Ohio casinos.
Ohio's Casino Commission has come up with a unique way to help compulsive gamblers from giving into temptation and entering the state's new casinos.
Problem gamblers can now ban themselves from any of the four new casinos.
Ohioans can ask to be banned for one year, five years or life.
The new state program makes it a crime for those on the list to enter the casinos.
So far, one Northeast Ohio man is on the list and ten others are awaiting approval. The casino commission predicts between 5,000 and 10,000 people will participate in the program.
Ohio’s program is similar to those in 15 other states.
