TOLEDO, OHIO -- Lucas County has a new dog warden.

NBC24 has confirmed Lucas County Commissioners voted unanimously to offer the job to Julie Lyle of Michigan's U.P.

Lyle will take over the job in mid-April.

She fills the spot vacated by long-time controversial dog warden Tom Skeldon.

Lucas County Commissioners have expressed interest in reducing the kill-rate and increasing adoptions.
